Opening Plan

LEARNING DESIGN

Begin with the child's learning, not a textbook name.

Materials have not yet been selected. Future choices will consider age, English experience, learning goals, home usability, and proper licensing.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Five criteria for choosing materials.

01

Clear purpose

Know whether a resource builds conversation, sound, reading, writing, or another goal.

02

Connected progression

Check that the next step grows naturally from what a child can do now.

03

Creates interaction

Prioritize resources that create opportunities to use English.

04

Works with home life

Consider short, manageable review without excessive family burden.

05

Properly licensed

Verify contracts, training, use conditions, and cost before adoption.

AREAS UNDER RESEARCH

Balance four skills with real communication.

Listening

Connect sound and meaning

Speaking

Grow from response into conversation
